PLANE crash victim Deborah Anne Graham was laid to rest yesterday at a small family commemorative service in Wagga.
Tributes flowed during the service for the former Junee resident which was attended by approximately 30 of her family and close friends. Ms Graham was 38 when the plane she, her partner, Anthony and his parents were travelling in went down near Wilson’s Promontory, a fortnight ago. Ms Graham’s brother John Graham said his sister had been a free spirit who loved life, family and friends. “She had a short, but sweet life. She couldn’t do enough for her family and friends. She gave as much time to people as possible,” he said Relatives of the Milne family were unable to attend the funeral after farewelling Anthony the day before in Melbourne. During the service friends recalled memories of a woman who had a genuine love for her family and had found her soul mate in Anthony. Childhood friend Maree Howell said she was a kind, adventurous women who lived life to the full. “I remember going horse riding and sleeping in hay barns with Deb and it was so much fun because we were together,” she said. Two poems were read; the first created by Ms Graham's niece called A Verse for Debbie and the second was read by her aunt. Jenny Curran, who is Ms Graham’s niece, said her aunty would be missed forever but the family had many happy memories. “Debbie was my best friend, now she rests peacefully with her soul mate. They will forever guide us all through life with their positive thoughts,” she said.
